A small committe has been put together of past either BC swimmers or people with a strong background in channel swiming in order to help guide and shape the organisation going forward, those people (in no particular order!) are:
Meet The Team

I’m a mum to 12 year twins, who are both swimmers. I’ve been a swimming teacher for 26 years, level 2 Coach and open water Coach. I’ve completed 2 Ironman Triathlons, swam various lakes and race in a wetsuit. Moved onto 2 Channel Relays, 2019 and 2021. The. July 2021, Bristol Channel - Glenthorne to Porthcawl and then 2.5 weeks later English Channel Solo. Oh and I’m terrified of sharks Hopefully more to come if I can juggle children with training.
Sian is an Aberavon local, in 2009 she swam the English Channel and in 2016, became the second person to swim Ilfracombe to Swansea, knocking an incredible 7 hours off the previous time! Sian is alo a North Channel relayist and Ironman finisher! In 2022 She swam the North channel, making her the first female to complete the Original Triple Crown and the only person to have done it with the longer Swansea to Ilfracombe crossing.
Stephen Price swims out of Clevedon and has a HUGE cv of past swims, including Clevedon to Penarth both ways and a two way on this route, He has also completed the English channel and the North Channel, making him the third person to complete the original triple crown.
In 2022, Phil put the first recorded breast stroke swims on both the Clevedon to Penarth and Swansea to Ilfracombe routes, in so doing claiming the longest swim by time of 21 hours 47 minutes!
Cardiff local Bryce swam a tandem wetsuited swim with Robin Griffiths in 2021 from Penarth to Clevedon. Bryce also runs an open water coaching company in the Bristol channel!
Another Penarth Local, Robin swam tandem in a wetsuit Penarth to Clevedon in 2021. Robins swim was made all the more impressive because he had a broken finger at the time!
Swansea swimmer Sophie has both an English Channel solo and Jersey to France solo on the board as well as a Bristol Channel relay from Swansea to Ilfracombe!
Anyone familliar with the North Channel will doubtless know Jackie, she is one of the brains behind Infinity Channel Swimming, a channel swimer, ice swimmer, Ironman and 70.3 competitior, coach, observer, and committee member for the ILDSA and IISA. We are very lucky to have her onboard!
